In traditional bottom-up experiments, proteins are initially extracted and digested by sequence-specific proteases. The resulting peptides are subsequently analyzed by liquid chromatography (LC) typically coupled to the mass spectrometer through an electrospray interface. The sample preparation prior to LC−MS analysis is a critical part of the overall workflow as it highly impacts sensitivity, robustness, and reproducibility of any bottom-up proteomics approach.
The Preciex® Cleanup tip columns use a proprietary mixed-bed Resin to clean peptide mixtures, specialize in high peptides recovery and efficiently remove detergents, polymers, salts, lipid and more for reliable LC-MS analyses. For detergents such as CHAPS, Igepal, SDC, SDS, Triton X-100 and the polymer PEG-10k the tip removed >99.5% of the contamination; for Tween-20, the removal efficiency was >85%, due to the high repeat numbers of polytheylene glycol.
Process of use: centrifugation, vacuum, positive pressure.
Formats: 10µL, 200µL, 350µL and 1mL.
